GL77 all organic material like soil samples has very strict import controls and must be Gamma radiation sterilised before release into Australia. There is often a que for this to be done and if it is in a large bulk bag/s then it has to be irradiated for a long timet to ensure material in the centre of the mass has been effectively sterilised. This can add up to weeks of delays.
