Well said! Australia is no longer the lucky country! It used to be when I was growing up but now it is definitely the stupid country!

I woke up to this during covid lockdowns and got my exemption to leave the country and have not looked back! I have never been more disappointed in my fellow Australians than during that period. People literally had a mental illness, losing their minds and dobbing people in for sitting on the beach alone or not wearing a mask while standing in line for a restaurant with the made up 1m rule which originated from Fauci, then 10minutes later they are all sitting around a table 10cm from each other with masks off. Same with the lines into the airlines. I mean, people couldn't step back and think logically and critically for a second and think, "what an earth is going on here? This makes zero sense!" Not to mention all the people who looked down on you and judged you for not accepting the experimental vaccine.

Best decision I made was to leave. It was hard at the beginning to reset but hearing from family and friends back home now who can't afford to do anything mortgaged to their teeth and inflationary pressures everywhere I am happy with my decision. I am now in the EU, bought a block of land for 50k, spare cash in the bank, can afford to do anything I want. 12 different countries around me within a 2 hour flight, 15-20 euro ryan air/easyjet, wizz to basically any country you want. Can experience different cultures, ways of life and all the fun stuff. There is no isolation, everyone puts socialising, family, friends ahead of work, in Australia it has always been the opposite and it sucks!

In Australia I also find everyone is either on team Labor, team LNP etc! Woo! They are really passionate about it. There is a uniparty, people fail to realise this! It all comes back from the same establishment. Yes, there are slightly different details in the policies, but whether it is labor or lnp, we are still screwed. They will never make the tough calls. LNP had their chances to change this country for the better, they failed! Now Labor have come in, destroyed in further. Nobody wants to address the elephant in the room about record immigration, foreign ownership and the inflationary correlation. I will now only vote independents or those hardliners on immigration. Until then, we will continue as we have been. How is it normal that a backpacker can come to Australia, earn 6 figures, send it all back to family in their developing countries and pay less tax than hard working Australians?! It is happening everywhere. I used to work in the Aussie mines, I met plenty of foreign people at the camps who do this. Not to mention all the people in the cities paid cash. Good on them for working hard and taking the opportunity but honestly how is the system set up to allow this?

As with LNP, why didn't they take their nuclear policy into the last election, nuclear was already at the forefront of most established countries 10 years ago or more. USA, China, France etc are all constructing record nuclear plants. It is logical, it is efficient and addresses the net zero narrative. LNP had their chance. Why are Labor and the Greens opposing it? Simple really, it threatens all the green tech elites and their establishment. They are all intertwined into government agencies and dodgy deals, subsidies etc. Jobs for the boyssss. Nuclear energy threatens the expanding solar, wind, hydro, battery industries. The moment nuclear starts up, is the moment these industries peak and start to decline in relevance. Anyway, that is my rant! Go DRE!
