John your patience is indeed a virtue. I do appreciate the technically focussed nature of management however they could do a better job of explaining the strategy.
I think you a been bit hard on Holliday and the Newcrest team, initial exploration in the NW corridor under basalt cover included IP surveys and fences of RC holes down to 200m. After that fences of 500m diamond holes were drilled but to say it was complete fluke is a bit tough. The WTM team also have the benefit of all the previous work done and improvements in understanding and technology.
You raise an interesting point with the MAG analogy. If it is deep pockets and deep diamond holes that are required, maybe now is the time to find that JV partner? Better to own 20% of a Cadia than 100% of some potential. Maybe that's what's going on now in the background hence the radio silence??
