I get the impression they're either scared of something, or moribund, or maybe just incompetent, or maybe all of the above...
I don't understand the thinking. We are in the strongest gold bull market perhaps in history and we're just watching it go by instead of participating in it.
For now at least the gold price is still going up so that's a good thing. Given the state of world politics and the economies of western countries I expect that it will continue for a while at least.
Why do they appear to fear moving towards mining and formally to declare the abundant resources they have already. Is it a perceived need for critical mass? Is it fear of a loss of control or an unfriendly takeover?
If they would demonstrate some commitment to mining and actually fulfil the promises they have already made then their shareholders would have more confidence in their ability to take this company forward. It baffles me why things are as they are and why they have been so slow to monetise the low hanging fruit that is clearly there.
One can only hope the scoping study clearly spells out the way forward to making some money from what is known to be in the ground and readily mineable.
