    I don’t see much of stripping cost itself going up in the last 3 years, some drill holes show thick, strong mineralisation from around 30m(or even less) depth means they will probably be doing staged stripping anyway which will decrease initial pre strip cost. Further stripping will be included in mining cost as they operate + as I mentioned above the under surface formation of storm is relatively soft compared to other formations.
    global copper AISC has been going up but it’s not just about inflation itself, it’s more about falling grade shooting up production cost.
    from my peer research shows (assumed)mining cost per ton stays below $3-$3.50(higher) for most of open pit mines with relatively close to surface deposits.
    and assumed mining cost to determine cut off grade in MRE should be very conservative otherwise it will be misleading and I’m glad they used conservative figures. I expect actual mining cost in DFS will be much lower.
    if copper price hit $5+ and stays up there it will be fabulous but $4+ should be enough.
