Correction on my previous post, I had an incorrect amount of vertical meters...
Ok, so this is by no means scientific, but here is my attempt to work out how much extra DSO we may have.
First we need to understand the density of the material, and the approximate weight of 1m3. Referring to page 6 of the "Bekisopa Southern Zone DSO Resource Upgrade" announcement from 11 July 2023, we can see that the weight should be between 4 - 5 tonnes, but WAI used 3.32t/m3
Then we need to figure out how many vertical meters of DSO grade material, of which there is about 166m
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10ewdGBvoCfzzT4PUuNbNYvsnEX156BB8R2_u3SA36AU/edit#gid=1684875614
Given we know the holes were drilled at 50m spacing, we know that each "block" is 50m x 50m, with the hole in the middle of the block being 25m from each side.
This allows us to work out the volume, which is 50m X 50m X 166m, or 415,000m3
Then we just need to multiply 415,000m3by the weight per 1m3, which is "at least" 3 tonnes, so this give us the following
Low Estimate - 415,000m3x 3.0t/m3 = 1.24m tonnes of DSO
Mid Estimate - 415,000m3x 3.5t/m3 = 1.45m tonnes of DSO
High Estimate - 415,000m3x 4.0t/m3 = 1.66m tonnes of DSO
The Southern zone has 4.42mt of "Indicated" resource
This means we should have a total Indicated DSO resource of about
Low Estimate - 4.42mt + 1.24mt = 5.66 million tonnes of DSO
Mid Estimate - 4.42mt + 1.45mt = 5.87 million tonnes of DSO
High Estimate - 4.42mt + 1.66 = 6.08 million tonnes of DSO
You can also about it like this.
The company raised about $3.5m to do the drilling, and was able to prove up 1.24 million tonnes of DSO material.
1.24m tonnes of DSO X $115/t = $142m USD or $215m AUD.
1.45m tonnes of DSO X $115/t = $167m USD or $251m AUD.
1.66m tonnes of DSO X $115/t = $190m USD or $288m AUD.
