So LGM reckon they have intercepted the lower the chalcedonic zone, transitional to the coliform crustiform zone. This sounds plausible.
The lower chalcedonic zone typically hosts low grade precious metals and often elevated base metals. We probably won’t see bonanza gold grades over any width in this round of drilling, but high grade silver is on the cards.
The coliform crustiform zone is where bonanza grade gold mineralisation occurs. Based on LGM’s interpretation, they need to drill a little bit deeper yet to get out of the massive sulphides into the ginguro banded fine sulphides in coliform crustiform bands. It’s worth testing because epithermals are highly vertically zoned and it can take a bit of work to find the right zone, but it’s worth it for the bonanza grades.
Companies like Newcrest would be pretty excited to explore properties like this one.
