Hi D&c,
Reckon you're right there. Not sure how long you've been here but when I first invested, maybe around 5 years ago, there was a regular poster here named Tiger, or a name something very close to that. He loved SGQ because he said this company was so predictable. He would buy in just before a drill campaign began and then sell out just before it finished, always at a good profit. He was scorned by many true believers here but I always admired his balls for not hanging around to see if SGQ actually did hit the mother-lode. This admiration was due to hindsight, because we never did hit the big one and he drew a lot of likes on his investment strategy. Why do I mention this - because I have a feeling a lot of investors shared Tiger's view. It has been very cyclical here. Capitol raise for a drill campaign with promising targets, and injection of investors funds, a rising share price and then a falling SP when the drill campaign failed to produce a mine-able resource.
One thing I've noticed over the last few drill campaigns is that there's just not the interest here there once was before drilling commences. It seems like investors are not so interested anymore and I haven't seen Tiger post for a long time. I assume he's lost interest too. I certainly share Helmenesh's view that drilling is very slow here and I'm guessing a lot of investors have moved on. I believe that from a day-trader's point of view this stock would have been a beauty, especially when it hit the 40c mark, or there about. But, given the halving of CGT after a year's holding, is the best strategy still in the hand's of the long-termers? I guess only time will tell.
I'm so grateful to all the knowledgeable posters here for giving us a good understanding of the potential resource. I am a believer that a Jorc at Striclands will turn this around, not to mention the current drilling that's taking place. If the mineral resource at Stricklands is even half of what a few have estimated here, the market will have to stand up and take notice. I also think that this will form the template for a forward planning strategy for SGQ. And let's face it, we need one. SGQ has been slow and to the uneducated like me, their drilling has seemed to be all over the place. However, I do believe SGQ's defining moment, good or bad, is not that far away - before Christmas I hope. I added to my holding recently. It'd be nice to increase the size of those Christmas prezzies.
Good luck
