We humans default to tribal behaviour. Psychologically, we act as a hybrid pack animal cum herd animal. As much as people like to consider themselves 'an individual' the fact is there are very few willing to 'go it alone'.
That's why so many people buy 'newsletters' and trading programs.... or dare I say it, read HC to get a few tips.
The perception peddlers, acting generously??... offering a noble service to their fellows??... or trading (relying upon) the fear factor?..
For those who do cut their own path.... I think most fail.. the few who succeed become heroes and the tribe start to follow them. (it's not quite the phenomenon these days, but a few years ago the 'hearts' on HC needed only to post on a thread and that stock frequently got a speeding ticket from the ASX... I am grateful Twitter came along so now those p...ks have gone away).
The reality is this.... if anyone wants to succeed in 'the market' then they had better accept the need for self reliance.
As a general rule, by the time someone is telling you what is the next big thing they have already loaded up on it and are now taking a profit.
There's no easy gains... if you make honest money in the market it's because you earned it.... you did the necessary work... and... you took the necessary risks.
