re: Ann: Drilling Program Update Monslatt AT... lordo,
the RAW gas content is an excellent indication of how much gas there will be. Especially with so much yielded after a short period of time. Corrected for ash content it could be considerably higher, even somewhere like 20m3 which is pretty exceptional.
The depth the hit the seam at was excellent for CSG prospectivity regarding pressure. The pressure on the seam is a function of the local geology, however the depth is a good indication of CSG prospectivity.
There is moderately high CO2 content.
Given that Monslatt-1 had hit several seams down to 750m and with one up to 20m thick. You can count on there being several signifcant pay zones out of Moslatt-2.
The lateral continuity point they mention in the first ann on Monslatt-1 is interesting as the first coals they hit were at 400m. With the outcrop to the East and heading towards a syncline in ATP814 Central, you would have expected the coals to get deeper in Monslatt-2, but instead the first intersect is at 325m? Interesting.
I am certainly no geo, just an engineer, but I am doing my best to learn about the CSG business so I can read what those fandalngled announcements mean.
Oh, you should also be buoyed by the fact that the area they are drilling is adjacent to the SouthWalker CSG program that Arrow run. A very good indicator that the area will likely be of some benefit to blue holders. I posted quite a bit of informatio on this permit a few weeks back which showed how the area was laid out from the old CH4 presentations before Arrow merged with them.
Cheers,
SF
