Drilling in broad fold nose areas is tricky.
Which direction to you drill to get the best bang for your buck?
Ultimately no one direction is preferable (IMO and from experience) with the combination of all holes in 3D helping in the definition of a folded deposit.
RC gives "quantity" - what is mineralised and some hints of spatial distribution.
Diamond drilling gives "quantity and quality" by adding structural data and perhaps easier to understand grade distributions etc. The recent diamond hole 21CADD003 seems to have confirmed the fold model but much more drilling is needed and will be done in due course.
Since hole 21D-3 the RC rigs have been wondering what is going on! Why are we drilling West, South, South West?
Until a reasonable 3D model emerges these variable drill azimuths will be the norm in this area IMO.

Hole 48 has a long intersection but is the hole drilled down dip/plunge?
Hole 16 is shown to give an idea of dips. It bottomed out in west dipping mineralisation at 360m.
At present CVV's model(s) will probably be changing as new data comes in - almost perhaps on a hole by hole basis.
Dots appear on the map faster than I can keep track of them - do not plan to in any detail from now on. Just commenting on broader issues as they pop up and tickle my fancy.
Prior to the fold model indications were the fold limbs dipped westerly at some 30-50 degrees. The Bindi Hinge zone is "tight" so East azimuth drilling was adequate to define the area. The new fold area is presenting new challenges - could be a positive for Bindi and CVV.
Rough location of sections provided in this annotated detail plan view.
It may not matter too much for volumes what the geological model will end up being with the consistency of results so far within the mineralised envelope.
