The area was previously drilled by BP Coal Botswana Exploration in the 1970s and more recently, by Wizard Investments and Homeland Mining between 2007 and 2009. These latest results from Nimrodel??s drilling programme confirm the reliability of the historic drilling data over the eastern area of the tenement. A total of six boreholes of the current program have been drilled to date ?V WA01 to WA05 and WA22. The drilling programme has continued to intersect all or some of the four coal intervals identified in the first borehole, WA01, announced to the market on 19 April 2011. These results have allowed reinterpretation of the coal interval stratigraphy, utilising the historical data alongside the current drilling data, which identifies coal interval correlation over a strike of 20km. The four coal intervals attain significant thicknesses with Interval 2 reaching thicknesses of 18.2m (minimum thickness of 9.3m) and Interval 3 having a consistent average thickness of around 3.0m. Interval 1 shows similar consistency in thickness to Interval 3. In WA22, Interval 1 is absent due to weathering. Interval 4 was only intersected in WA01, at 152.8m for a significant 11.6m and again in WA22 at 141.5m for a 3.1m interval. In WA02, WA04 and WA05 the holes ended before intersecting Interval 4. The five boreholes that intersected all or some of the identified coal intervals are contiguous from WA02 southwards to WA22, indicating a coal mineralised strike length of some 20km. WA03 was the furthest north of the drill holes and lies north of the Zoetfontein Fault that runs across the northern part of the tenement. A total of 14 samples have been taken from WA1 and WA2 and sent for testing at a South African laboratory. Core from the remaining holes have been wrapped and stored awaiting the site visit of the independent consultant. Further samples will be selected for assay once this initial site visit has been concluded. Nimrodel will be targeting bore holes WA21 and WA20 in the following days and will inform the market as soon as these results are available. Results of these 2 holes will determine the program development thereafter. Mr Golding has sufficient experience relevant to the style of mineralisation and the type of deposit under consideration to qualify as a competent person as defined in the 2004 edition of the Australasian Code for the Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and OreReserves. Nathan is already on site and monitoring the current drilling program at Takatokwane. Nathan holds a Bsc, Msc, and PhD and is a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists. He is an experienced geologist with over 20 years?? experience, having worked with a number of resource companies including BHP, WMC, Goldstream Mining and Uranex N.L. Of note, Nathan has experience and has had success with uranium, gold, PGEs, and base metals discoveries in Australia and Africa. Appointment of Independent Consultants Nimrodel has appointed Optiro, a Perth based consultancy firm, to oversee the preparation and classification of the maiden JORC defined resource.
