For the simple reason that if you were led 1 metre away from the side of the titanic and then allowed to remove your blindfold could you work out what you were looking at.. Tricky without fade out/in perspective.. And this thing is B.I.G trust me :-0

Or what normally happens is that when faced with something that seems so illogical to a constrained mind in normal existence it will activate a sensor bias that dismisses the aberration for it can't and be true despite the shear overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
