So, what you're not so subtly trying to imply is somehow being "telegraphed" here, is that management obviously know Bowdens will never get up, so their very clever plan B is to try and find another project to concentrate on (try the old switcheroo).
I think your theory might hold a bit more water if this prospect wasn't just 7km's up the road. Do you really think management would say to themselves, well there's no way they're going to let us build a mine here, but you never know they might let us build one right next door??
