BHP were looking for "another Boddington" goldmine and were sampling at 1km x 2km sample spacing closing down to 200 x 400m sample spacing if they found something interesting, but they were discouraged and dropped the ground. There's old gold workings along the strike length of Target 1. BHP have walked away from more ore than they've mined regardless of commodity... even iron ore.
