Initially the drilling is about the pegmatites - a few holes in a row across the strike of the outcrop, a couple of scissors too, and we will have a first glimpse of the pegs thickness, dip and if they are stacked, as is often the case with Li pegmatites.

Secondly we will learn if the pegs are zoned as expected - there should be a Ta zone (maybe on the bottom) a central zone of mainly feldspar, which is what the artisanal miners were after for the ceramics industry, and a Nb zone possibly columbite which contains some Ta too.

Thirdly will be the grades and thicknesses of the mineralised zones, or of the pegs as a whole - that's where we start to get some idea of the value of the deposits.

Finally, and this may end up very important, assays of the surrounding rock which may have primary mineralisation or alluvial mineralisation by weathering of exposed pegmatites.
