Hi bgunit we are going well. I’ve been busy paving the last couple of weeks. We had a hold up with our first semi load I’m literally waiting for the call to head to Edjudina to load up.
It’s also given me time to tweak the system. Bought an inline water flow metre 210 litres total water flow per minute adjusted from 300 litres. Bloody great tool to have. Also I believe we had to many balls in the ball mill so I reduced it to just below 30% volume for the ball charge.
Im really looking forward to the next run. As we still got a gram out of 3/4 tonne for a first test. That’s great considering how far out the settings were. Tailings weren’t crushed enough due to to many balls and 40 litres a minute now down to 15 in the ball mill. Great advice I was given is to have the volume of balls riding the shoulder of the mill. Along with overall 210 litres per minute including Ball Mill to the Neffco Concentrator. We were probably well over 300 litres per minute on the first test judging by the flow set at 210. Gold was left in oversized tailings and would have washed straight out of the bowl from both water force and not crushing properly.
