The EU are still working out where the funding will come from, and yes the US Inflation Reduction Act seems to be funded by a money printer with $370 Billion of incentives.

I'm surprised they managed to narrow down to only 10 to 15 projects; and the emphasis being Nordic Countries and Greenland.

There are other existing programmes already being tapped into by EU mainland, so this should not be a free for all, and they will need be quite selective with size and scale. I am not expecting say AGE's nickel project nor ETM's lithium project to demonstrate significant importance / scale; likely something like Tanbreez should qualify @GBB

Mean while though a decent batch of drill results can't hurt with getting the word out there.
