Probably wouldn't be looking at a VMS. Although they do show a lot of variety globally, they don't tend to be enriched in Pt and Pd or have an association to alkaline intrusions (don't find these in spreading ridge / exhalative environments). They also tend to be found at very well-defined stratigraphic horizons.

If anything, it has all the makings of a large, low grade copper-bearing porphyry. I would say don't be expecting any high grade hits. A success would be 50m @ 0.5% Cu realistically... Something like that, and then we can attack more aggressively to depth. Porphyry Cu discoveries don't tend to happen overnight like a high grade VMS discovery can... patience needed.
