Just reviewing what was done at Yin by DRE compared to what is being done at Mick Well 2 by KFM;
5600m vs 4000m (planned)
66 vs 39 holes (average hole depth greater at MW)
Drill test ~2km of strike vs ~800m (of 3km outcrop identified at MW2).
Single lode vs multiple parallel lodes targeted.
The Yin ‘discovery’ drill line tested a single lode and intersected a mineralised zone some 20-30m thick, while at MW2 drilling targets four outcropping zones across ~300m width. I can’t help but wonder how the cumulative thickness of multiple lodes may stack up and how they might look inside a pit shell.
I’m thinking ahead and out loud somewhat, but the lateral potential of MW2 certainly looks to trump Yins, and may hold the key to adding great value even if the thickness of individual lodes aren’t as wide as those at Yin.
A bit of food for thought anyway. Enjoy your weekend.
