Ann: Drilling update at Alameda-1 - Strong oil shows, page-96

Watched a very interesting RU Good Oil Conference presentation by Peter Stickland, technical director of MAY on the Cuban oil prospects. The presentation was done in 2017 and provides a history of the oil lease Block 9 in Cuba, the presentation also gives a run down on the oil potential. He explains that a historic well Marti 5 which was drilled in 1988 and took 20 months to drill and encountered 800m of oil shows, which has then led to the drilling of the Alamenda prospect. What I found very interesting was that he believes that revenue from the well if successful can be generated in a matter of months by trucking it nearby oil infrastructure and storage units. 4 years later they started drilling & looks like they have found the oil:
