my gut feel is that they announced this result as it confirmed their initial analysis and planning was a dud.
I think they aimed straight down the middle of the target, expected to hit 100m of brine from 50-150m and then hit nothing.
They prob aren’t expecting anything from 150-200 as their analysis said there shouldn’t be anything there. They will finish off the hole as they said it would go to 200m but now they have no idea what to do next.
