Putin is clearly no mad man. He has outsmarted western leaders for years now.
I agree he will take Donetsk and Luhansk, but he isn't going beyond.
Nor will the west do anything (militarily about it), because they know where there bread is buttered. They rely far too heavily on Russia for their gas and they know it. This is why the only thing Scomo, Biden and the idiots in Europe are doing is 'imposing financial sanctions' (which Biden must be laughing at).
