Eh? why do u need 15300 to control 10000?. If formation pressure is 10k at 3700 m. You'd need 1.9 SG mud or 15.9 ppg in real language. Which is fairly hefty but not uncommon.

But to answer random number man there hasnt been a fluid weight quoted. Digger1 could find out but kinda pointless as he has from the horses mouth that they where at the limits of the 10k setup.

maybe they didnt run the 8-5/8" and suspended so they can go buy a string of heavy wall 7-5/8", a 15K wellhead spool and come back when theyve got a 15K stack and flange this thing up properly for drilling deeper in 6"?

must've been some beefy 10.75 they ran or it wouldve been twitchy bum time if they did drill into these sort of pressures.

all speculation mind you. But thats what a forums for.

what i REALLY want to know is 2 things:

    1. How long we will be waiting before they are back digging deeper, this year???? Quite possibly not? Even a a QX 20XX estimate from mgmt would be nice.
    2. When do Santos stop paying for the well? That is not clear and that is price sensitive. Especially considering the nature of the well.
