Mate, its happening all over the energy patch. Any good news is being used as exit points. Sub US$40 POO is, in most cases, just too strong a head wind for most positive announcements. Hell, FAR has lost 16% in a week after announcing success on the first 3km step-out appraisal on last year's world's largest offshore oil discovery.
But in 88E's case, investors need to see real proof of live, payable oil. In this market and with many 100s of million new SPP shares hitting the offer, its just not a wise bet, or rather necessary, to jump ahead of facts.
Energy and resource investors/punters just need to dive deeper into the patience bag than ever before.
