’Regarding seal, yes, the top seal is important. There is also a need for fault seal as its a structural trap, not a stratigraphic trap. This can be shale juxtapose
d on sandstone across the fault, or shale smear along the fault itself. Here's a figure on fault seals from a paper by Steve Ogilvie. This is going to be of importance when drilling prospects heavily reliant on faults sealing.’
