I am hoping that their 'expected' permeability is consistent with having a reasonable chance of being a commercial well (if it's not then we all better find another company to invest in!) so better than this is welcome. But yes it is CTP, which doesn't have a great track record of clearly disclosing important technical details (eg that the rig has been turned into a spiral staircase). I guess they also have a track record of announcing gas flowing to the surface prematurely too, so maybe we should be reassured they are being cautious until they have completed the pilot as you suggest! The thickness of the coal seams they have tested at least seems decent, if the permeability is 'good' any guess whether the reserves might be higher than postulated by CTP before the drill went in? I am obviously not a engineer so if what I have said is misleading please feel free to correct!
