Do yourself a favour sialfish and go to Thailand. There not depressed. They are an amazingly happy and content people. The miners would be getting paid above average I would suggest.
Their simple life is far better than our complicated one in my opinion.
Maybe a 2 bit company now, but not for much longer.
By the way there are plenty of countries with a lower wage structure/standard of living that mine, other than Australia.
We are at the other end of the spectrum. We have to import everything because wages and costs (oh&s) are out of control.
