TED,''The CPAP machine doesn’t work that well for a lot of people with sleep apnoea. Any company that has a pill to reduce/solve Sleep Apnoea will seriously make a lot of money.''.
The CPAP does work perfectly,if you can use it.It's not easy for everybody to use,and it's the gold standard at the moment.I'm interested in how they are going to make a pill,to open your airways, while you sleep.Until I see this,it's a pipedream. Some other things like straps/nose openers and mouth guards can work, for people with very slight sleep apnea.I did a trial with Oventus and the CSIRO,using a mouth guard, and the results were terrible. In South Australia,if you have sleep apnea, and it's not treated, they take your license from you.I'd gladly take a pill, instead of a mask,so hope they can perform a miracle, but I believe this part of their business, will be hard to prove.Trust me,I'll be watching to see how the trials go.The company looks very promising, but hope you understand my reluctance about the sleep apnea.
