AMENDED DIVIDEND REINVESTMENT PLAN OFFER DOCUMENT

Telecom Corporation of New Zealand Limited has made modifications to its
Dividend Reinvestment Plan Offer Document to comply with the listing rules of
the ASX (on which Telecom's ordinary shares are listed) and other minor
amendments that are of an administrative or procedural nature.

The amendments take into account recent changes to the ASX Listing Rules
which require that the final election date regarding participation in a
dividend reinvestment plan in connection with a dividend entitlement must be
at least one business day after the record date for that dividend.

The changes are effective from 23 June 2014 and apply to all currently
participating shareholders and to any shareholder who elects to participate
in the Dividend Reinvestment Plan in the future.

The updated Dividend Reinvestment Plan Offer Document is attached and is also
available at http://investor.telecom.co.nz.
