We know have much greater insight into how tighter living conditions are translating into sales.
Central bank interest rates, whilst not expected to go higher, are now expected to be 'higher for longer'.

1h trading is always much better than 2nd half trading.

Given the significant decline in 1h trading, 2nd trading is going to be both worse and loss making. Management knows this and hance the drastic cut to dividend to preserve their net cash (management is acting correctly on this).

But the hotcopper.. retail buy buy buy on share price decline, on this stock at this point in time is nuts in my opinion.

Again each to their own, its your capital at stake not mine.

I am not downramping, I am stating the facts as they are after the release of the financials. And its after the realease of financials that one has the greatest clarity into how things are going.
