These cells have been called immortal as they have been replicated and sent around the world for testing treatments and studying the outcomes much passed when the patient died. It has been an ethical debate whether they should still be used...regarding meso aGVHD treatment i don't know of its origin is of one or multiple donors but one could assume it could be one donor which stem cells replication would apply to synthesised larger batches to then be distributed, it would make more financial sense instead of the work involved with harvesting from multiple people who would have to be informed company was going to use them for medical research and drug manufacture.....
