Most organisations are moving to office 365, but don’t need to do that through Data 3. They have multiple options. Whereas they might need to host 1 item internally, that is only a short term issue as long term these solutions will have cloud options. These include Oracle, SAP, TechnologyOne, Dynamics, etc who all have their own clouds. The other issue Data 3’s reliance on public cloud has is public cloud is in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, and Perth. Many of the solutions people would want to host in the cloud have requirements outside of these centres, and if the solution isn’t designed for the cloud there will be latency issues that require these solutions to be hosted close by, and that is where their divestment of cloud infrastructure is too early. Other companies have regional options. They have locked themselves out of a number of company’s strategies.
