I agree on them buying up Software IP so they can get more recurring revenue. I see you mentioned Datacom. They are a legendary company in New Zealand, you see there name everywhere in the city I live in, but I can see why they are being overtaken by Data 3. They don't seem to have focus on anything, and seem just a jack of all trades and are being hounded by the hyperscale data centres in NZ. We have no exposure to Data 3 in NZ, but reading their reports, I am impressed at their focus. Not sure what software IP they could buy, but there are a lot of government and utility software companies just waiting to be bought out.
