You mean this drop?
I didn't sell so I'm guessing at what other investors/traders had in mind. There was certainly nothing within the business to trigger the sell-off. But as you can see the share price took off at a pretty serious pace following the pandemic dip and went rocketing past its previous highs. There was also nothing inherent in the business to justify this kind of rise. So I suspect the correction was a result of a combination of:
- Realisation that share price growth had significantly outstripped business growth.
- Realisation that the pandemic was far from over, and that headwinds would remain for much longer than anticipated.
