My thoughts are that it might be a way to track blockchain transactions. If party A buys product from party B (possibly illegally), then such tech could be used by law enforcement as evidence of the transaction. Or should counterfeit goods/currency possibly change hands or be substituted as the result of such a transaction, it could be used to track down those operating outside of the law. Truth be told, this is outside of my realm of understanding, so I'll be interested to see if it has some substance or is just hot air.
