Metal i'm curious mate why the emphasis on SOI? It is but an arbitrary number that is used in conjunction with the SP to determine MC, right?

If the company had 14b SOI and an SP of .004, it wouldn't really be any different would it? Or conversely they could collapse the SOI down to 140m and bump the SP to 37c, and the MC would stay the same....

I just don't understand why some people put so much emphasis on the SOI, as if it get's to high and it's "game over".

Unless i'm missing something, all IMO.
