you are understating the liquidity issue. It is not generally lower, it is vastly lower.
AUI and DUI are very illiquid with few sellers & buyers and large gaps between buy and sell price.
the fact that 41% of AUI shares are owned by the Potter foundation doesn't help.
from the ASX website, in the month of Dec there were over 12000 AFI transactions and over 6000 ARG transactions
but for AUI and DUI there were only about 400 - 500 each.
AUI and DUI are also less diversified and more concentrated in their Australian share holdings, with only about 40 stocks.
they don't hold any small caps and very few mid caps. therefore provide a less diversified market exposure, which might suit some people but not others.
