Well I think this announcement fully reflects the current share price. Yawn!

While I appreciate negotiations with Santos may be a little David & Goliath, and we are somewhat at the mercy of Santos' annual exploration budget decisions, this is kind of insulting. Furthermore, why insult us with the "need to import specialised high-pressure equipment and the impact of COVID-19 on all operations" baloney? In the current environment rigs are readily available and I have no doubt the large one we require could easily be mobilized within 6 months. Also there is plenty of drilling going on in the current COVID-19 environment with adequate safety planning. It's all about who pays and when are they willing to commit that is really at stake.

Drilling of the well to the current depth of 3,704m occurred on 06 Aug 2019. Now we are to believe that despite a wealth of positive information being obtained at the time, and opportunity advised since as being de-risked significantly, we aren't going back to drill for more than 2 years. Good grief, thank god we don't need any of those alleged multi-TCF reserves!

Thankfully we can rely on our well-connected and highly respected Chair to simply jump on the phone to Keith Spence and make it happen quicker? Oops, that's right, we have Singapore-based sleepy Wrix at the helm. Hardly a hint of small-cap hustle or entrepreneurism there.
