Sadly agree. What will be soon left that that we own and make the goods we use day to day in our lives. No doubt Dulux has attractive IP which made it attractive to predators --- afaik Aust Paint technology is world class due to the research work that CSIRO did on polymer technologies a number of years ago. No doubt Nippon will continue with the Dulux brand ... If my memory serves me right, there was an attempt some years ago by Bunnings to stock Nippon paints (after some argy bargy between Bunnings & Dulux), with the result that there was extreme buyer resistance to the foreign brand.
