interesting to say the least-
long term thor holder here. used to be a constant poster on these threads but since the markets dissapointment on the molyhill dfs and the whole debacle regarding spring hill results/trading halt/ they have nothing significant to report then comes out days later and says we have the goods i have refrained from reading posts on the thor threads and furthermore tried to look away from the day to day movements in the thor mining share price
albeit with that said, it is time to finally say something and that is , finally a good sign that Mike has been alerted to the fact that thor have the ability to do something to show the market we may and i repeat may have something that our neighbours have discovered at their nova prospect.
At the end of the drillign results from Dundas might be nothing to gloat about, but you have to at least sell the story to try anything to lift this one of its lows of late. Not a big one for taking cheap shots at management of listed companies for their lack of shareholder concern, but this is one time when I can openly voice my concern as a long term top 20 holder that this announcement, although good, took way to long to happen. A discovery and shareprice appreciation like that which was fuelled by the Nova discovery doesnt happen everyday and its times like this that listed companies with even a sniff of the same on their tenements need to stand up and let the market know, that we are near- we "may" have the goods and try to rise on the nearology play.
Many, many companies have come out to shout at the top of their voices what their tenement could hold in regards to their nearology to the nova discovery, yet thor mining have a very unique opportunity to actually be so so close to sir's discovery and yet it has taken this long for a press release to excite anyone to the actual fact that we are so close and could have substantial good ground which could host similar geology as the motherload discovered. They do say its better late than never, but in this lucrative trading environment, I would like management to understand the unique opportunity which has unfolded on our very doorstep. Companies wouldn't be eagerly trying to acquire adjoining land if they were under the assumption that the geological feeder structure didnt extend further into the fraser range.
On a closing note, interesting to see that as of 1.30pm we have just traded some 21 million shares, yet still at our opening price. Interesting to note that our last highest trading day close to this was on the 27/04/2012 when we traded 20.9 million shares with an intraday high of 3.5cnts and previous to that on the 11/04/2012 when we traded some 30.3 million shares to hit our 52 week high of 4.2 cnts. Although circumstances may be different and i am not in anyway implying that rises like that are around the corner, would be nice to see how this afternoon and more importantly tomorrow and next week pan out with investors and traders alike after this announcement.
Sidenote- Just a thought to think about but do management really have our best interests at heart here is what im concerned about. The pdf from todays announcement specifically mentions that the period in which Thor was required to spend a minimum of A$1million to be eligible to increase its staged equity to 80% expired on 30th September 2012, and Thor is negotiating an extension to that time period in good faith with the project vendors. Excuse me if im speaking out of place here, but like anything in the business world or when you are at university and have deadlines for assignments. Deadlines are deadlines and should always be planned in accordance to getting set tasks done within those timeframes to avoid being unprofessional. Shouldnt our management team have been better managed to know the expenditure deadlines, adhere to it to try and get more of Dundas instead of know playing catchup trying to renegotiate terms. Sorry of this offends anyone as I am as faithful and loyal to the Thor Mining story, its just the somewhat lack of urgency from this board which concerns me when I sleep at night .
