One more thing folks may be interested in while I'm up early in the morning is that I emailed Anteris a couple of days ago about Cboe Global Markets beginning to list foreign companies in the US with plans to become essentially a global interconnected exchange. Another company I own, Abaxx Technologies, which is Canadian, is the first company to list with Cboe like this in the US and the fact that Abaxx was already trading through Cboe Canada made it easier for them. A company going this route also automatically gets listed in the UK and Europe so there are benefits to doing so. Abaxx originally planned to list on Nasdaq but Cboe seemed more attractive and Abaxx is a company launching their own global commodities exchange so they know the business.
I'm not sure if AVR being traded through Cboe Australia will make a Cboe listing in the US easier than Nasdaq but it could and Anteris replied to my email saying that they will "build it into their considerations moving forward". The main thing is to move from being traded over the counter in the US (which means it is not traded through an exchange, only directly by broker-dealers) and onto an exchange. I don't think the exchange matters (I know the Cboe Australia volume is thin though) because institutions generally don't like to buy small cap stocks traded OTC and Cboe US should provide the same access to brokerages as the Nasdaq or NYSE.
Anyway the Nasdaq could still be preferred for the uplist by Anteris but Cboe is a potential alternative if it is easier to accomplish.
