Just an interesting post on sir regarding XRF by ipsupreme. Don't take it as gospel not my statement.
XRF's are great tools, but with core you expose yourself to variations as you can move the gun 2mm and get a totally different reading. this would cause, certainly in SIR current heat of battle some concern when the final result are released. In RC chips/dust you can probably get a little closer to the true grade. XRF probably best left out at this stage.
