re: Ann: DVM Acquires 100% Interest in ATP-58...
A cynic would say this block ATP-587-P in Queensland has been available for some time (in fact actually hawked around at a number of the oil conferences) and could be of dubious quality.
Which begs the question of how did DVM value it, and what if any independent views were sought - especially in the present hydrocarbon environment? Also, is Ivan going to release a rationale for the acquisition?
A disgruntled shareholder who may have considered voting against the DVM Board might say the acquisition was simply to issue a large number of shares to friendly hands, irrespective of value, to ensure the back door was closed while Ivan blundered on. For this the Chairman is also clearly responsible.
