Regarding your mate's experience..
For wineries, it is cheaper and helps keep the relationship with the customer "sticky". For the customer, reliable, same or next day day delivery allows better stock control. Meantime, AusPost typically only service regional areas (i.e. the small to medium wineries) 2 or 3 days a week, delay, lose or damage cases more often than you'd want to know, and the cost in time trying to get refunded or compensated is depressing. Maybe Kaddy's sales team need more feet on the ground and less time on the phone because the concept and it's benefits haven't changed in the past couple of years.
