I remember that when Dyesol talks about the usage of their product in glass panels in high rise buildings they make the point that on average about 40% of the panels in glass curtain walls actually act as a facade only (covering floors and ceilings and concrete and beams etc) rather than being windows. They seem to suggest that it is that 40% of glass curtains that they will be targeting, not the panels that people can look out of.
If you look at Dyesol's glass panels they have on display at their hq, from a distance it looks an even coloured panel but up close it looks more like a circuit board (or maybe like a field of corn so that from a distance it looks like a constant colour but up close you can see the rows).
So I suspect that they will be restricted to the sun roof idea. Not sure about whether the Dyesol product could be used in the metalwork of cars as I have never seen what the Corus product looks like. Also you'd wonder whether it would offer the finish required in a luxury car (?).
