The beauty of DDB is they are now an end to end drilling services company. One that can offer a suite of exploration and resource definition drilling services, civil/construction blasting services for access roads, rail and infrastructure including specialist controlled blasting services, production blasting across both very small life of mine to long term contracts in bench and contour blasting, and then dewatering, borefield and specialist geo-thermal water drilling services - Welldrill drilled the geothermal bore which heats the Scarborough pool for instance.
Looking at other peer companies, it is a very small pool that has that level of diverse service offerings and versatility, and in times of downturn, the diversity to share resources, which would enable a downturn in one of the disciplines to be not only absorbed, but to bolster the performance of the other two.
