    There are 525,600 minutes in a 365 day year so any production plant with a volume of ~500k vehicles per year will be producing a car every minute. They would therefore have similar production speed stat's to the 76second you mention however some may be doing that via multiple production lines and each individual production line is much slower. Tesla's Texas factory is ~375k/yr so there is a western example close to those volumes.

    What video's like the one you post show is a nostalgic view of the world looking back to the 1970's, 1980's or 1990's around auto production isn't going to work in the EV world. Those long past day's of lots of human workers on a production line for a vehicle are a thing of the past. Nobody is going to be able to wind back the clock and return those vehicle manufacturing human job's. I think it will be difficult, but I think Europe and USA may well have several companies emerge that can produce mass-market, modestly priced EV's that with some lower tariff levels can compete. I suspect they will however need to redesign the vehicles from scratch rather than make incremental improvements to an existing vehicle design which is their usual approach. They will also need to back themselves and design/build a multi-hundred thousand vehicles per year plant, not 5-10k/yr plants that get progressively expanded.

    The US and Europe aren't going to be waving a white flag without at least having an attempt. That attempt requires establishing a supply line for key components of a vehicle and their underlying critical minerals. E25 is part of that attempt by supplying high purity manganese for the USA market.
