A Trump win is a win for America, most Americans don't want to be forced into driving EV's. OK for those in woke California & New York but the rest of the country do not want EVs.
The major car manufacturers would prefer to make cars that customers want rather than being forced to change tack and try and make and sell vehicles that very few want. That is the reality.
Rather funny, when I stated
"The question is what will Trump do when he wins the election in a few months time?"
On thing about this USA election, the people of America have spoken and Trump has won in a landslide and he knows that American citizens do not want to forced to drive a car that they do not want. Many first EV adopters are switching back to ICE vehicles. Secondhand values of EVs have plummeted.
"Over the past year, average gasoline car values have decreased 3% to 7%, but average used EV values have decreased between 30% and 39%, the analysis found."
Donald Trump–tariffs, EV mandates, and solar energy all in play
With the election of Donald Trump everyone is wondering what is going to happen next. It’s obvious that Trump will enact new import duties but how much, what countries and what commodities.
Everyone in the auto industry is wondering if he will attempt to change the EV mandates on a federal level. Some states, notably California, will fight to keep them and will go to the courts.
However, the mandates are killers for the US and world auto industry and most manufacturers would like to sell the cars that consumers want—not what the government mandates.
If the mandates are changed, the entire EV metals sector could be decimated in favor of ICE (internal combustion cars).
