I may be wrong, but the current share price is already banking in a lot of poor news in relation to some of the risk issues. It may not be reflecting 100% down-side on the risk, but the share price is not being oblivious to the risks either. DMS is used in other Manganese operations. Its proven technology that is based on the density of material, not the physical appearance of that material. There can be issues, but I'd expect a DMS plant in the Butcherbird situation to have vastly improved beneficiation of washed material, particularly as the dial into the optimal settings.

The biggest DMS potential issue I'm aware of is recognised DMS experts in the lithium space have noted DMS plants perform best when dealing with a narrow size range of material (at least in the 10mm space). E25's setup would appear to be a single larger DMS unit with a planned density target of around 2.7x (so any residual clay/shale are lighter and become float rejects, anything heavier is accepts - final product). The single density reading means there's no primary/secondary DMS and no middlings for reprocessing. It would appear to be DMS dealing with all DMS capable size fractions when the DMS is running material up to 80mm. You may get better results with a screening filter to larger/smaller and two separate DMS units. This may mean E25 effectively ends up operating the DMS in batch mode - Run it for a period on smaller material, change settings slightly, flip to bigger material, change settings slightly, flip back to smaller material again... E25 must have taken advice on this known issue so I presume any improved operational performance is offset by the higher operating costs of two DMS units making the E25 plan optimal.
